Welcome! I’m Irlande Louis, the artist behind Irlande by Design LLC, based in Columbus Ohio.
Originally from Jeremie, Haiti, I draw inspiration from my heritage, the beauty of nature and everyday moments. Water, mountains, flowers, and the people who touch my life often find their way into my work.
I create with acrylics, mixed media, watercolor pencils, and graphite. My love of fashion also brings my art beyond the canvas into hand-painted bags, jewelry, scarves, clothing, and accessories—pieces that invite you to “Step into Art. Walk in Purpose.”
My creative journey has taught me patience and perseverance. While recovering from right shoulder surgery, I began creating with my left hand, discovering another way to express myself and continue doing what I love.
I have exhibited at Riverside Hospital, Raw Gallery, Broad Street Presbyterian Church, First Community Village, Dublin Recreational Center and Loom Capital. I am a member of the Ohio Art League, Dublin Area Art League and Elevate Northland.
Whether I’m painting a peaceful landscape, celebrating the beauty of women or transforming an original design into something you can wear or bring into your home, I hope my work offers a moment of joy and connection.
